Peek at my Week - Week 1

I am so excited to link up with Dee Dee over at Mrs. Willis Kindergarten for a Peek at My Week linky party for the first time!  Lets hope I can get everything to work.
Here are my visual lesson plans for my first week of school.  And yes I have more detailed lesson plans with my curriculum objectives amd indicators for me and my staff to use.  If you want a closer look at my lesson plans, click on the picture.  If you want to purchase one of my products I am using this week, click on the product cover and it will take you to my TPT Store.
You can see we will go over and practice many of our classroom rules and routines the first week of school.  For many of the students in my class, this is their FIRST school experience.  They will have to learn everything from how to sit at circle to how to line up.  Luckily I am a multi-age classroom so I have some students for two years.  I will use my returning pre-k students as models when I teach and reteach our rules and routines.  They LOVE being the model and the big kids in the class!

My classroom has 5 centers.  Each center has a icon and it's own color.  This week I just have the basics in each center.  Each week after I will add new items to each center based on student need and our classroom study/theme.

Wish me first day is tomorrow! I am excited and nervous just like the students.  I even have my first day outfit ready to go.

Don't forget to check out Mrs. Wills Kindergarten for more amazing lesson plans!

    1. Yes! I had a blast and loved all your tips and tricks you shared. Thanks so much for putting it together. I want to investigate more about whole brain teaching. Is there a book or resource you would suggest? Thanks again!
